ATHLETIC TRAINING CENTER

Welcome to the training room–where you will be greeted by either Allison Flockhart or Roland Bussiere. These two athletic trainers work here to help keep our student athletes going during their respective sport seasons. The training room is equipped with multiple modalities, and rehabilitation equipment to aid in the recovery process of injured and sore athletes here at Summit High School. Over the past few years, Allison and Roland have spent numerous hours giving the training room a face lift; from putting Hilltoppers mural on the main wall; to creating a space for student athletes to perform their rehabilitation exercises. On any given day in the training room you can find our students coming in for treatment, or coming in just to talk to one of our Athletic Trainers. They make sure to keep the training room a warm and welcoming environment for all to come in and stay healthy! Of course none of this would be possible without the help from our Summit Boosters.  They have graciously donated the bike, stim unit and the Game Ready machine. Thank you for helping keep our athletes on TOP of the HILL.

ALLISON FLOCKHART, ATC

Allison Flockhart, a Summit High School Graduate of 2005 and a member of the high school cross country, basketball and lacrosse team, has been a certified athletic trainer since 2005. She began her career at David Brearley High School, where she was the athletic trainer for 5 years and then accepted the athletic training position here at Summit High School in 2014.  Allison’s career goal was always to come back to her alma mater at SHS as an athletic trainer and give back to the athletic community that helped shape who she is today. On any given day, you can find Allison working with injured athletes in the training room or out on the fields covering games! Allison considers the best part of her job to be watching injured athletes return back to their sport as well as watching the student-athletes grow and mature throughout their four years here at Summit High School. When Allison is not at work, she can be found spending quality time with her husband and 4.5 year old son, Ryder. They are also expecting a baby girl this April!
