The 2022 Girls XC season was phenomenal!  As a first-year head coach at SHS, I appreciated how the girls responded to a new coach, new philosophy, and unorthodox approach to training.  They were super supportive of one another and every athlete reached a new height in their performance while having a whole lot of fun.  As a team, we finished 4th in the UCIAC Conference and County Championships (in the most loaded conference and county in the state) and 2nd at the North 2 Group 3 State Sectional Championship.  Out of over 400 Cross Country programs in the state, our Summit girls finished in the top 25!  I look forward to next season as we have excellent underclassman talent who will certainly fill the shoes of this year's senior graduates and hopefully supersede this year's achievements.
